When it comes to your wedding day, you want everything to be perfect. Nowadays it’s common that people have theme or thematic weddings, with several quirks and small surprises for the guests to keep them on their toes and make their wedding a wedding everyone wants to remember. This usually involves making the overall décor of the wedding match a certain theme or style, but some people take it as far as having the food and even the clothes of the most important people in the marriage match the theme. I’ve personally attended a marriage that had an early 20th century theme, and that’s what’s inspired me to write this article.

Apart from very stylish looking theme clothes, that weren’t really replicas of what people wore at the time, more like modern adaptations of them, and waiters dressed for the occasion, one thing really got my attention. The bride and groom drove to the reception in a classical car, one of those really old models. And when I asked where they got it, they told me they simply went to a classic car hire company. The company provides full insurance and a specialized driver for the car and, although I didn’t want to ask, I checked later and the price wasn’t all that bad.

Often vacations fit into two different categories, and depending on the type of person you are, you often prefer one over the other. There are holidays for those more adventurous, and holidays for those who want to unwind.
Planning a romantic get away that is both unique and exciting can be difficult. From couples who are well traveled, to those who have never left the country, it is hard to come up with the perfect, most original idea for a holiday. Whether you are engaged, married, or just committed, you want to give your significant other a vacation to remember. Flying to an exotic country is nice, but common. If you’re looking for the chance to plan the perfect romantic get away, then consider a cruise.

Cruises are popular and one of the most relaxing vacation destinations possible. With cruises, often everything is inclusive, which means there is no running around trying to find a place to get cash, currency conversion, or stress. Everything you will ever need on your vacation will be right on board, and on top of that you still get the excitement of exploring a new city, or a few! Cruise liners have all the luxuries and comforts you crave, without any of the stress of trying to navigate a new city. You eat, sleep, play, and relax all on the same vessel, with the chance to see new places every day. A cruise is the way to go.

With some extensive research you can always find the best rates for travelling. Whether it is your flight tickets, a cruise, your accommodation, or other types of transportation, you can save money on any trip by just shopping around for the best options. This can involve researching online, or speaking with a travel agent. Combining all of these sources can result in getting you the best travel deals available.

Last minute deals are something that most of our schedules can’t accommodate. After all, vacations of any kind need leave from work, and careful planning before you can leave your home for an extend period of time. However, if you are able to take advantage of these deals, you can save a considerable amount of money. Last minute deals can often be found via travel agents, or the Internet. They are packages, often for couples, that include airfare, accommodation, and sometimes food and other small perks that are a one time fee. They can often be a third of the price of the normal price, so it is worth trying to take advantage of one of these.

You can also get cheap airfare if you know when and where to look. If you book through the carrier, you can get a cheap ticket directly.

You hear it from almost everybody you have met. “I enjoy the destination but I hate the travel”. Most people do not to travel because of all the hassles that it entails. Travelling by plane is said to be the safest but there are still certain discomforts that are inherent in plane rides. Here are some ways to avoid or alleviate these discomforts.

1. Do not eat too much before boarding a plane- Even if you are not prone to having motion sickness, it is not advisable to travel with a full stomach. If and when you do, you run the risk of throwing up on the plane or worse, have an unexpected bowel movement which is something that you would like to avoid at all costs.

2. Do not fasten your seatbelt too tightly- It is understandable for you to be concerned for your safety but fastening your seatbelt very tightly will not make you any safer that you already are. It will only cause your blood flow to get constricted which might cause you to get dizzy or nauseous. Try to relax and breathe normally.

3. Walking up and down the aisle is good for your circulation. Once, the “fasten your seatbelt sign” is turned off and the in flight crew says it is ok to move around, get up and slowly walk up and down the plane to promote good blood circulation. This will also decrease post plane ride fatigue because you will not be in one position during the whole flight. Just make sure you will not disturb the other passengers who had chosen to sleep, read or just stay put.

4. Bring a comfortable headrest or a small pillow to cushion your neck so as to avoid any strain. The last thing you want is a stiff neck when you land.

5. If at all possible, visit the bathroom before you board the plane or go right before takeoff. There are only one or two bathrooms on the plane so go while you still can.

Sagada is a remote area located high up in the Cordillera mountains and is around 171 miles away from Manila. It is a favorite destination for adventure-seekers and explorers as well as city-dwellers who are weary of the hustle and bustle of urban life. Sagada is definitely a place to refresh your spirit as it is full of breathtaking natural attractions and untouched wilderness.

Going to Sagada is a long journey – from Baguio (which is around 6 to 8 hours away by car from Manila), the trip takes around 7 hours. However, during the long trip, you will be treated to spectacular views of the rice terraces that the Cordillera region is famous for. The long journey is all worth it as Sagada has plenty of choice caves that are perfect for spelunking and exploring. Even non-caving experts and spelunking first-timers will enjoy themselves as local quick-footed, English-speaking tour guides are available to assist. The Sumaguing Cave is the most popular as it can be explored by caving pros and neophytes alike. Inside the cave are magnificent stalactite and stalagmite formations that were shaped over millennia. Some formations that you can expect to see have been named by the locals as king and queen’s curtains, giant fudge, pregnant woman, Mickey Mouse, alligator, dancing hall, and rice terraces. The cave also has underground streams and natural pools. Just be warned though that the water is quite chilly.

Aside from the caves, tourists are also recommended to visit Bomod-ok Falls, a 200-foot column of water. Other points of attraction are the hanging coffins – graves of the ancestors of the Sagada people that were built into cliff sides. Make sure to stop by also at the Masferre Café, where photographs of Igorots (the local group in Sagada) taken by Eduardo Masferre in the early 20th century are on display.
