Barcelona Beaches

The beaches of Barcelona have golden sand and are just ten minutes for the city center. Barceloneta Beach is the closest to the center of the city and so it can be crowded in the summer time. There are many Barcelona hotels in this area too so if you want to be near the beach but know that this is prime water front and will cost you a premium rate.
In this area you can windsurf, kite surf and take a break to eat and drink at one of the many beach huts. Icaria Beach is another options but again the cost to stay near the beach is high. An apartment rental is another options.
There is one hotel that is close to this beach with moderate prices and that is the Hotel Front Maritim. For those looking for a nudist beach, the Mar Bella Beach is for you. This is an unofficial nude beach as you will find many there who are not nude. They have a Spanish law that states as long as you cause no disturbance, it is OK to be nude anywhere. If you are looking for an official nude beach, there is not one in Spain.
